Design Your Own Ethical Fashion!

Hello treasures! It is impossible not to start a blog being written in April 2020 without saying the words unprecedented, strange and unsettling. With that in mind, I do hope you’re managing to stay safe and sane in these unprecedented, strange and unsettling times.

I’ve got a fun distraction for you in the form of a new feature on my Teemill (ethical fashion) site. You can now design your own t-shirt, bag or sweatshirt! EEEEEEE! Vivian Westwood, watch your back!

Here is a step-by-step guide for what to do. Everything you order from there is printed on demand and dispatched by my print partner Teemill. Each item is ethically produced from organic cotton in a wind-powered factory. They send all the orders in recycled packaging without even a whiff of single-use plastic.

step 1. Click on the Ethical Fashion link from my homepage.

step 3. Choose the product you want for your DIY masterpiece

step 4a. Pick a design. There are lots of pre-loaded designs to choose from or…

4b. Upload your own design (make sure you only use images you own. No copyright infringement on my watch!) You could use children’s artwork, your own amazing design or even a photo.

or…4c. You can add text and play around with the advanced options to include shadows and paint fill effects.

finally step 5. Order! When you’re happy with your design, click on ‘order.’ A note about sizing- I find that the ‘Men’s’ tee is great for women too and also in both Men’s and Women’s clothing, the sizes are generous. Go for a size down for a true fit.

I really hope you enjoy creating your own unique items. They make ace gifts for locked down birthdays/ anniversaries/ pick-me-ups and you can be safe in the knowledge that, as impulse buys go, this is an ethical, planet friendly choice.
