PRIVACY POLICY
I am committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of the visitors to my website and subscribers to my newsletter. I will be using the data given to me only in the way stated. Please read on to find out why I collect your data and how I use it.
VISITORS TO THE WEBSITE
I do not collect information about visitors to the website other than completely anonymous data regarding general visitor numbers and the countries in which they are located.
When you buy something from me, only your contact details are collected and stored securely on my website. I do not collect your payment details if you have paid by card or Paypal. If you have commissioned work from me and pay me via bank transfer, I do not keep anything other than your name and address. Some commissioned pieces are paid for via the iZettle invoicing service. Again, I will only keep electronic records of your name and address. Where I have paper records of your contact details (from orders placed at markets or in person) I will keep them in a folder in a locked drawer in my home studio. I will hold your data for a maximum of 3 years and may from time to time email you with information that I feel you will be interested in, such as special offers or to ask for your permission to share the artwork on social media platforms. I will only contact you if I have a legitimate reason to do so. The information that I send you will only be relevant to the goods/service that you purchased from me, and will not be used in any other form.
MAILING LISTS
I would like to send you up to date news, offers and information as part of my semi regular e-newsletter. To do this, I will need some personal information from you – your email address and your name. I use this data to email you about events, blogs, new products and special offers. I may also contact you to check I have your correct information, or to check you are happy still receiving content from me. I will never give, sell, trade or rent any of your data to or with other organisations or businesses.
I use a third party provider, Mailchimp, to deliver my newsletter. I gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help me monitor and improve my e-newsletter. For information around how Mailchimp use your data please see their privacy notice.
I will not use the data you give me to subscribe to my newsletter in any other way. It will not be saved on any other system aside from the Mailchimp list you signed up for, and I will not transfer it to any other lists unless you allow me to do so.
You have the option to unsubscribe at any time to my e-newsletter, either by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of my emails, by emailing rosiejohnsonillustrates@gmail.com or by going into your Mailchimp account and unsubscribing.
Once you have chosen to unsubscribe from our emails, I will delete all data I have on you and it will be removed from my system permanently.
LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES
There are links on my website to other sites I feel you may have an interest in, or sites I recommend for services. This privacy notice does not cover those links and those sites are not governed by this Privacy Notice. If you have questions about how those sites use your data, please check their privacy notice.
ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
You are entitled to access the personal information I hold on you. Email your request to rosiejohnsonillustrates@gmail.com and I will respond to your request within 14 days.
HOLDING YOUR DATA
I will hold your data for a maximum of 3 years unless you tell me a) that you would like me to remove it from my system or b) you would like your data to be retained for longer. I will always inform you either way and you will always have a choice as to whether I retain your data or delete it. I will not do anything with your data that you do not consent to.
UPDATES TO PRIVACY NOTICE
I may update this privacy notice from time to time under regular review, and am not under obligation to email you every time it is updated. It will always be accessible in the footer of our website. This privacy notice was last updated on 27th April 2018.
